Vijaya Lukose is passionate about developing and supporting people’s growth in communication skills and behaviours required to be successful in today’s global business.
With of over 22 years of experience in the Aviation industry, she has worked for award winning airlines including Air India, Eastern Airlines in the US, East West Airlines, Air Deccan, Kingfisher Airlines and Air Pegasus where she held senior positions such as Head, Inflight Services and Vice President, Inflight Services. She has worked as a Training Manager for Eastern Airlines in Florida where she trained and managed eight thousand crew. Vijaya was the first woman flight safety instructor in India and worked closely with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation to bring out the first Flight Safety Manual, endorsed by the FAA, for Domestic Airlines.
Vijaya has about ten years experience consulting with MNCs, where her specialty has been training and facilitating managers and senior managers in the area’s of cultural sensitivity and global presence. She has worked with IBM, SAP, Hewlett Packard, EACoE, GE, Sun Microsystems, Intel, Digital Globalsoft, Cadence Design Systems, Millipore, Ingersoll Rand, CG Smith, RCI, General Electric, Unimobile, Computer Associates, KPMG, Ernst and Young and many other companies.
She holds double master’s Degrees from Indian and American Universities in World History. She also completed ‘Leadership in the 21st Century’ course at the prestigious IIM, Kolkata. She wrote a column on Business Etiquette for The Times of India for four years. She is also the author of three books. Her first two books ‘Ten Steps to become an Air Hostess’ and ‘Absolutely Nuts” has sold well all over the world and she has been invited to Universities in the US to speak about her books. Her third book ‘Plane Crazy’ will be published at the end of this year.
